DXF Part Library

The partlibrary contains typically drawings of small parts or symbols that are often used in drawings (such as screws, nuts or symbols for electrical schemas).

FingerCAD / FingerCAD WS / FingerCAD HD / FingerCAD PRO are compatible with the dxf objects (dxf files) contained in the partlibrary:

You can store the "DXF Part Library" files in the FingerCAD / FingerCAD WS / FingerCAD HD dxf archive, import and merge the dxf objects files in the current CAD project
You can download on Your MAC the "DXF Part Library", import and merge the dxf objects files in the current CAD project of FingerCAD PRO

To download and install the "DXF Part Library" in the "dxf archive" of FingerCAD, FingerCAD WS and FingerCAD HD (in the device memory):

Automatic installation (for FingerCAD, FingerCAD WS, FingerCAD HD):

download and install the "DXF Part Library" in the "dxf archive" of FingerCAD, FingerCAD WS or FingerCAD HD by pressing the "Download DXF Part Library" button in the "DXF Archive" window (put Your device on a table... they are necessary some minutes to complete the installation procedure)

Manual installation (for FingerCAD, FingerCAD WS and FingerCAD HD):

download the "DXF Part Library" file (ZIP archive) using a MAC or PC
unzip the "DXF Part Library" .zip file using the MAC or PC (extract the files from the "DXF Part Library" .zip archive)
copy using "iTunes File Sharing" the "partLibrary-2.1.2.8-1" folder in the "Documents" folder of FingerCAD, FingerCAD WS or FingerCAD HD (or copy the dxf files that You want in the "Documents" folder of FingerCAD)

download the "DXF Part Library" file (ZIP archive) using a MAC or PC
copy using "iTunes File Sharing" the "DXF Part Library" .zip file in the "Documents" folder of FingerCAD, FingerCAD WS or FingerCAD HD
run FingerCAD, FingerCAD WS or FingerCAD HD, open the "DXF Archive" window, tap on the "DXF Part Library" .zip file and choose "Unzip" (wait some minutes, until the end of the unzip procedure)

download the "DXF Part Library" file (ZIP archive) using "Safari" for iOS (for iPad, iPad mini, iPhone, iTouch)
once the "DXF Part Library" .zip file was downloaded by "Safari" (wait some seconds to complete the download), press the "Open In" button and choose FingerCAD, FingerCAD WS or FingerCAD HD
run FingerCAD, FingerCAD WS or FingerCAD HD, open the "DXF Archive" window, tap on the "DXF Part Library" .zip file and choose "Unzip" (wait some minutes, until the end of the unzip procedure)

send the "DXF Part Library" file (ZIP archive) as an email attachment
using the "Mail" app for iOS: open the "DXF Part Library" .zip file (tap the attachment "DXF Part Library" .zip file), press the "Open In" button and choose FingerCAD, FingerCAD WS or FingerCAD HD
run FingerCAD, FingerCAD WS or FingerCAD HD, open the "DXF Archive" window, tap on the "DXF Part Library" .zip file and choose "Unzip" (wait some minutes, until the end of the unzip procedure)

To download the "DXF Part Library" on the MAC (hard disk) and use it with FingerCAD PRO:

download the "DXF Part Library" file (ZIP archive) using Your MAC
unzip the "DXF Part Library" .zip file (extract the files from the "DXF Part Library" .zip archive)
import and merge the extracted dxf objects files in the current CAD project of FingerCAD PRO using the menu " File -> Import -> DXF "

ALTERNATIVE PROCEDURE TO STORE THE DXF PART LIBRARY IN YOUR PORTABLE DEVICE (for FingerCAD, FingerCAD WS, FingerCAD HD):

How can i store the "DXF Part Library" into megaDownloader Web Browser (HD) archive and share it with FingerCAD or other installed apps?

Using megaDownloader Web Browser (HD) app:

- Download the part library archive (.zip file) using megaDownloader Web Browser app and tapping the link: download the "DXF Part Library" here (RibbonSoft GmbH link) - (see the download status in the megaDownloader Web Browser "Downloads" window)

- When the download is complete, open the megaDownloader Web Browser file manager, tap the part library (.zip file) and press the Unzip button to unzip the part library archive (it unpacks and saves in the device memory all the dxf files contained in the part library archive). Starting by this moment it is no more necessary the internet connection to use the dxf files contained in the dxf part library archive.

- To import the dxf file in the FingerCAD current CAD project workspace select a dxf file tapping on the dxf file name (using the file manager of megaDownloader Web Browser (HD) app). DXF file preview is available using the file manager of megaDownloader Web Browser (HD) app: tap the .png file with the same name of the .dxf file to display the .dxf file preview in the megaDownloader Web Browser file manager preview window.

- After You have selected the desired .dxf file, press the "Open In" button and choose FingerCAD app (or other installed apps): the dxf object will be imported and added to the FingerCAD current CAD project (the imported dxf object will be automatically selected: You can move, edit, scale, rotare, mirror, duplicate, etc... the imported dxf object before the import confirmation).

- To confirm the insertion of the imported dxf object: using FingerCAD app, You have to disable the selection tool; the imported .dxf object will be added to the FingerCAD current CAD project. To remove immediately the imported .dxf object press the undone button.
